E-Signature Consent and Authorization

This E-Signature Consent and Authorization ("Consent") is entered into by and between users of Settle hereinafter referred to as "Client," and Settle Life, Inc., a corporation duly registered and existing under the laws of Texas with its principal office located at 1001 W Rosedale, Fort Worth, TX hereinafter referred to as "Settle Life."

Background

Settle Life and Client may engage in transactions that require the exchange of documents, agreements, and disclosures. As part of our commitment to streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency, Settle Life offers the option for Clients to provide electronic signatures ("E-Signatures") on such documents, subject to Client's consent as outlined herein.

E-Signature Consent

By affixing an E-Signature to any document provided by Settle Life, Client acknowledges and agrees to the following:

  1. Voluntary Consent: Client voluntarily agrees to use E-Signatures as a means of executing, acknowledging, or consenting to documents, agreements, disclosures, and other records provided by Settle Life.
  2. Electronic Delivery: Client acknowledges that Settle Life may provide documents electronically, and by using E-Signatures, Client accepts the electronic delivery of such documents.
  3. Legally Binding: Client understands and acknowledges that E-Signatures hold the same legal validity as handwritten signatures and are legally binding.
  4. Retention: Client agrees to retain copies of all documents signed electronically. Settle Life may retain copies of signed documents for record-keeping purposes.
  5. Withdrawal of Consent: Client has the right to withdraw their consent to use E-Signatures at any time. This may, however, impact the ability to conduct transactions electronically with Settle Life.
  6. Hardware and Software: Client acknowledges that access to a computer or mobile device with internet connectivity is required for E-Signature use. Client is responsible for obtaining and maintaining necessary hardware and software.
Scope of Consent

This Consent applies to all documents, agreements, disclosures, and records provided by Settle Life to Client that require an execution, acknowledgment, or consent. This includes but is not limited to, terms of service, privacy policies, financial disclosures, and transaction-related documents.

Revocation of Consent

Client may revoke their consent to use E-Signatures at any time by providing written notice to Settle Life. Upon receipt of such notice, Settle Life will provide future documents in non-electronic form.

Governing Law

This Consent shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of [State of Incorporation] without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Acceptance

By providing an E-Signature on any document provided by Settle Life, Client acknowledges that they have read and understood this E-Signature Consent and Authorization and agree to its terms and conditions.
